  • Methionine: this essential amino acid is a precursor and an activator of the keratin synthesis.
  • Cystine: made up of two cysteine molecules linked by a disulfide bridge, this sulphur-containing amino acid is particularly interesting when combined with Vitamin B6.
  • Arginine: is also an amino acid of interest for the hair, first identified in 1886. It is a constituent of proteins like cystine and methionine.
