Are Arkocaps® natural?

Most Arkocaps® contain total plant powder (totum), which contains no synthetic additives. All the outer casings of our plant capsules, with the exception of the oils, contain hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, which is derived from plant fibers mainly from species of flax and spruce.

The Arkocaps® containing vegetable oils have an outer casing made of bovine gelatin and glycerol for better preservation and to avoid any risk of oxidation of the gel capsule which would cause a rancid odor.

Can several Arkocaps® products be taken simultaneously?

With the advice of a pharmacist, it is possible to combine several Arkocaps® to treat different ailments, and also to treat different symptoms of the same condition.

In phytotherapy, it can be useful to combine several plants to gain the benefit of the effects of synergy of action.

See: The mechanisms of synergy of action.

Is it possible to open the capsules and empty out their contents?

Yes, it is possible to open the capsules and incorporate their contents into a semi-solid food such as yogurt, compote or honey.

Can Arkocaps® be given to children or pregnant and/or breastfeeding women?

There are clear pictograms on every Arkocaps® pack.

They enable you to quickly identify the number of capsules to be taken per day, the minimum age for taking them, as well as any excluded populations (e.g. pregnant or breastfeeding women). Arkopharma’s main mission is to offer effective and very well-tolerated products.

How can you guarantee the quality of the raw materials used in Arkocaps®?

Arkopharma has a very large supplier portfolio, developed over the course of 35 years and based on all the experience accumulated over that time. New suppliers are regularly integrated into our network. These suppliers are based all over the world. They are selected for their capacity for production and collection, but above all, for the quality of their plants.

To this end, plant suppliers must meet the stringent specifications imposed by the Group.

Arkopharma’s Quality Control service currently employs over 60 people, all working towards a common goal: to (offer and) guarantee high-quality, safe products.

See: Quality at the heart of our processes.

Where are your capsules manufactured?

The majority of Arkopharma’s products are manufactured in France at the Carros production site in Alpes-Maritimes. The Carros site is equipped with three major technologies for the production of capsules, tablets and vials.

The “Made in France” stamp is a genuine guarantee of technical expertise (know-how, compliance with regulatory requirements, etc.) and societal and environmental standards (safeguarding of local jobs, respect for working conditions and the environment, etc.).

See: Guaranteed “Made in France”.

Where do your plants come from?

The plants come from all over the world thanks to a network of quality suppliers accumulated over 35 years. To guarantee the identity and overall quality (foreign bodies and concentration of active ingredients) of the raw materials, Arkopharma Laboratories purchases the entire plant.

How does cryogenic grinding preserve all the active constituents of the plant?

It’s important to know that, in the case of traditional grinding, the high temperatures produced can damage or even destroy the most fragile molecules. In contrast, cryogenic grinding conducted in a nitrogen atmosphere at low temperatures (below -60°C), preserves the plant’s components throughout every stage of manufacture of the plant powder.

Nitrogen, which is chemically inert and naturally present in the air, protects the plant’s components against oxidation due to contact with the air, and the cold temperatures prevent any decomposition caused by the mechanical heat produced during traditional grinding.

By lowering the temperature, nitrogen helps freeze the plant, which becomes easier to crush, resulting in a more effective grinding process.

In summary, cryogenic grinding respects the integrity of the plant, guarantees the presence of all the active constituents and provides a particularly fine grain, facilitating digestive assimilation and better bioavailability.

See: 100% of active ingredients preserved with cryogenic grinding.

Is it possible to buy your products by mail order?

Arkopharma products are mainly sold in pharmacies and drugstores. You can also find them in online pharmacies (and drugstores).
