Witch hazel helps to support circulation and, thus, helps to reduce the feeling of tired legs.

Witch hazel leaves contain tannins. Witch hazel is, therefore, very useful for relieving all types of circulation problems, whether venous or microcirculatory.

Witch hazel (Hamamelis virginiana) is of interest in phytotherapy, where it is traditionally used for its benefits for the circulatory system, in particular by protecting the small vessels and capillaries and improving venous return that makes legs feel lighter.

This shrub is native to the coast of North America, where it grows abundantly, Canada and the north-east of the United States (Pennsylvania, Virginia). It is grown in our gardens, generally for its ornamental qualities.

For oral use only. For adults only.

  • Take 3 capsules in a single intake in the morning, with a meal and a large glass of water.

Recommendations for use

  • Not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in the absence of sufficient data.
  • Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
  • A food supplement should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
  • Keep out of reach of young children.
  • Store away from light, heat, and moisture.


Health/dietary advice

Situations to avoid:

Sitting or standing for too long, trampling, wearing clothes that are too tight (tight trousers, boots), shoes with heels that are too low or too high, exposure of the legs to the sun or sources of heat, excessive weight gain, and avoiding foods that are known to promote congestion of the veins: alcohol, spices, coffee, tea, tobacco.

Advice:

Elevate the legs whenever possible, especially at night in bed, practice regular physical activity (brisk walking, swimming, gymnastics, cycling), shower the legs with cold water, massage them and wear compression stockings, tights or socks.

*Powder obtained by freeze grinding Witch hazel leaves, titrated at a minimum of 3% tannins (expressed as pyrogallol).
