Guarana's main active substance is caffeine. Guarana seeds contain 3 to 5% caffeine, making it the richest caffeine-rich plant material currently known. This active ingredient, also known as guaranine, promotes calorie burning and helps reduce body fat.

Guarana is also recognized for improving alertness and combating fatigue. In fact, as a physical and mental tonic, it stimulates cognitive capacity and enables you to stay focused and alert for longer. It is, therefore, a plant of interest in cases of fatigue, for example linked to personal or professional overwork.

Native to the Amazon, Guarana (Paullinia cupana Kunth.) is traditionally used for its stimulating properties.
