PhytoBronz®, a complex with a high dose of carotenoids !

Thanks to their experience and know-how in sun nutricosmetics, Arkopharma Laboratories have developed an innovative formula since the diversity of Carotenoids present in the formula allows a more optimal preparation than the use of Beta-carotene. Phytoperine® also optimizes the bioavailability of Beta-carotene.

  • Carotenoids:

Lycopene belongs to the carotenoid family and is a pigment naturally present in tomatoes and watermelons. It is an antioxidant that helps protect cells from oxidative stress and free radicals. It was not until the late 19th century that a researcher named Harsten separated lycopene from tomatoes, and it was not until the mid-20th century that the properties of lycopene were identified and the late 1990s that they became widely known.

Luteine and zeaxanthin belong to the family of carotenoids, which are lipophilic plant pigments responsible for the yellow and red colours of nature such as fruit, vegetables, flowers and autumn leaves. For example, the bright yellow colour of corn is due in part to lutein.

Beta-carotene is the best known compound in the carotenoid group. As a pigment, it makes flowers more attractive to insects, and is best known for its presence in certain fruits and vegetables such as carrots, mangoes, apricot…

Piperine (phytoperine) increases the bioavailability of betacarotene. Black pepper (family Piperaceae) is one of the most widely used spices in the world, well known for its pungent compound, piperine. Piperine is the main active ingredient in peppe.

  • Vegetable oils:

In addition to carotenoids of plant origin, Phytobronz® contains plant oils which are used to help preserve the elasticity and suppleness of the skin, for a sublimated skin:

Bourrache

Borage oil (Borago officinalis L.): Borage is a Mediterranean plant, when it was discovered in the Middle Ages its use was not cosmetic at the time5. It is now used for its various properties related to the skin, notably restoring suppleness and elasticity.

Huile d'argan

Argan oil (Argania spinosa (L.): the seeds of the argan tree, which grows in southern Morocco, are used to produce argan oil. The name Argan comes from a small village in Morocco called "Argana". This oil is traditionally used for skin care in the nutricosmetic field, it has nourishing properties and makes the skin supple.

Sésame

Sesame oil (Sesamum indicum L.): Sesame is a member of the oilseed family and comes from Asia. Particularly popular in the Middle East, sesame is widely used in cooking, and is also used in the form of oil in nutricosmetics because it has interesting properties such as skin suppleness.

  • Vitamins and minerals:

Selenium (Se): Selenium will act as an antioxidant.

Le Copper (Cu): contributes to skin pigmentation.

Vitamin A: helps to maintain healthy skin.

Vitamin E: helps to protect the skin from oxidative stress induced by UV radiation. It is recognised as an essential nutritional element for humans, and has anti-oxidant properties.
