3 essential oils for your comfort

Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum)
The Cinnamon tree is a small evergreen tree native to India. Today, it is widely found on the islands of the Indian Ocean (Seychelles, Madagascar) and in Southeast Asia. The spice, known and recognized for enhancing all dishes with its warm, sweet aroma, is extracted from the bark of the cinnamon tree. The bark yields 0.4% to 1.7% essential oil through hydrodistillation, or 400 grams to 1.7 kilograms per 100 kilograms of plant.

The essential oil derived from Ceylon cinnamon is particularly recognized in the urinary field because it contributes to the proper functioning of the urinary system.

Winter savory (Satureja montana ssp montana carvacrolifera)

Winter savory essential oil is one of the most active oils. It thrives in Mediterranean soils, where it is also known as Pèbre d’ase, which means “donkey pepper” in Provençal. This aromatic perennial plant, which is also grown in gardens, belongs to the Lamiaceae family, along with Basil, Mint, and Oregano. It is also used as a condiment in cooked dishes.

The essential oil extracted from its leaves and flowering tops helps maintain the body's defenses. This makes it easier for the body to ward off external attacks.

Niaouli (Melaleuca quinquenervia)

Niaouli essential oil has a strong scent with a hint of eucalyptus. The soft, light-coloured bark of this tree, which is similar to Eucalyptus and native to New Caledonia and Australia, peels off easily, like paper, hence its nickname “skin tree.” The tree is harvested in New Caledonia and especially in Madagascar.

Niaouli essential oil is also recognized and used for urinary comfort.
