Cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon) is a small red berry native to North America containing numerous plant molecules, including the famous ProAnthoCyanidins (PACs*).

Cranberry: Its origin and the importance of a daily intake of ProAnthoCyanidins (PACs)
It is one of the only fruits to generate so much interest for its nature and for what it contains, namely its content of proanthocyanidins (PACs*).
Cranberry is grown in specially equipped ponds. It likes cool climates and sandy soils. It is then necessary to wait 3 years before the plants begin to produce fruit in sufficient quantity to harvest them.
It is traditionally consumed across the Atlantic in the form of drinks or culinary preparations. Today, its berries are appreciated for women's well-being. The colorimetric analysis method known as BL-DMAC using the DMAC (Di methyl Amino Cinnamaldehyde) reagent is recognised as being the most specific to date.
