3 essential oils to breathe better!

With their expertise in the field of phytotherapy, Arkopharma laboratories have specially developed Activox® Tablets for inhalation: a formula based on balsam of Peru and 3 essential oils rigorously selected by the experts of the Group.

  • Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis). A shrubby perennial plant native to the maquis, scrublands and rocky outcrops of the Mediterranean basin, Rosemary is now widespread throughout the temperate climates that experience mild winters. In aromatherapy, the essential oil extracted from Rosemary is commonly used for its toning properties and to clear the respiratory tract.
  • Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia). Lavender belongs to the Lamiaceae family. These shrubs are famous for their very fragrant flowers and for their aromatic and evergreen foliage. The essential oil extracted from Lavender is known for its relaxing and soothing effect.
  • Red Thyme (Thymus zygis). It is a thyme quite close morphologically to the common Thyme, well scented, but with a milder taste. The essential oil of red thyme is known for its action on the immune system.
  • The Peruvian balsam (Balsamum peruvianum). Peru balsam owes its name to a tree, the Balsam tree, which grows in Colombia, San Salvador, Venezuela and was once transported via Peru. This balm can be used as a sanitizer in the case of ENT disorders.
